Nguyen Van Kien

BORN 1989 · HAIR TRADE SINCE 2011

Nguyen Van Kien started in the hair trade in 2011 as a delivery worker for an export agency. He identified a gap in the market for direct-sourced Vietnamese hair and built a small operation with 6 people (most of them family) in a Hanoi workshop.


In those early years, Mr. Kien personally traveled by motorbike to rural mountain regions to collect raw hair from Vietnamese women. Limited equipment meant the business could only sell raw bundles at first. Over the next decade he invested in production technique and processing equipment.

By 2017 AZ Hair could produce a full extension range in-house. In 2020 Mr. Kien formally established the company under its current legal name. He leads 100+ production workers at our Ninh Binh Province factory today.
