Where to Buy High-Quality Hair Collections Online
Every hair site online looks the same from the outside. Clean product photos, a bundle in a hand, a WhatsApp number. Two of those sites are factories and two of them are buying from a factory and marking it up, and the page itself will not tell you which.
Hair collections sell online through four channels: B2B marketplaces such as Alibaba, factory-owned websites, brand stores that resell factory hair, and individual sellers on social media. The first two connect a buyer to the people who made the hair. The other two add a markup and a layer in between.
I work in marketing at a hair factory in Vietnam, and I sold hair directly for 5 or 6 months before that. So I know the order buyers ask questions in, and I know which of those questions never gets a straight answer. This guide covers where to buy high-quality hair collections online and how to work out what kind of site you are on before you send money.

The four places hair is sold online
- B2B marketplaces Alibaba, Made-in-China, Global Sources. Accounts are verified, payment runs through escrow, and the seller's trading history is public. Slow to browse, safest to pay through on a first order.
- Factory-owned websites A manufacturer selling their own production. The price is lower because there is one company in the chain, and the person answering your message can check a batch.
- Brand stores A US or EU company that buys from a factory, packages it, and sells on. Better service, faster domestic shipping, higher price. Worth it when the markup buys you something you need.
- Individual sellers on social One Instagram account, one WhatsApp number, DM to order. Some are excellent. Some are drop-shipping from a factory they have never walked into.
None of these is the wrong answer for every buyer. A salon ordering 3 bundles a month and a distributor ordering 5kg a month are solving different problems, and the second one cares far more about who made the hair.
How to tell a factory site from a reseller site
Six checks, and all six take under 10 minutes.
- Does the site show the workshop with a company sign on it, not a stock interior shot?
- Is there a company address on the site, and does it match the address in their marketplace account?
- Message the hotline. Does a human answer, and do they know what a drawn type is?
- Do they hold an active account on a B2B marketplace? Keeping an Alibaba account in good standing takes a team, which is a signal on its own.
- How long has the website existed? Check the blog archive, not the copyright year in the footer.
- If the whole business is one Instagram account, ask for the five items above before you order.
Our factory is in Vietnam and our HQ is in Hanoi. Every shipment leaves a building we own, and both Channel NewsAsia and NPO Netherlands have filmed inside it. Both broadcasts are public, which is the whole point of naming them. You can watch them without asking us for anything.
The longer version of this checklist is in our guide to Vietnamese hair suppliers.
What high quality means when you cannot touch the hair
- Drawn type How many lengths sit inside one bundle. Single drawn tapers at the tail. Double drawn holds thickness further down. Super double drawn holds it almost to the end.
- Hair condition The strand itself. Whether it was bleached or permed before it was ever cut, and whether the cuticle still runs one direction.
A super double drawn bundle made from damaged hair will lose to a double drawn bundle made from healthy hair. Every time. A listing that names the drawn type and says nothing about the condition of the hair has told you half of what you need.
There is also no industry body defining any of these words. Each factory writes its own definition, which is why one factory sells "super super double drawn" and means what another factory calls double drawn. Comparing grades across two websites by name alone tells you nothing at all.
Grade names are marketing. Tail thickness in your hand is data.
Ask for video of the hair in a hand
A UK buyer placed a first order with us in July 2026. Over roughly two weeks of messages they asked for video three times. They never once asked for a certificate. The exact words were "just want to see the quality of the hair".
That is the pattern, and paperwork reassures nobody who has been burned before.
What to ask for: one continuous clip, hair held in a hand, tail end visible, filmed the same week. Ask them to say the length and the grade out loud in the clip. A factory can film that in 4 minutes. A reseller has to request it from somebody else, and the delay tells you what you needed to know.
We can show you the sorting floor, the drying racks and the finished bundle. We cannot show you a certificate that says one donor, and neither can anyone else in this industry.
Want to see the floor before you message anyone?
Our recorded factory tour runs through sourcing, sorting, drying and colour in one take. Watch it first, then send us a question with something specific in it.

Why one site quotes 30% under everyone else
A household operation runs a handful of workers, no marketing budget, no sales team, no office. Their price is genuinely lower and there is nothing dishonest about it. Open Google Maps and look around Đông Bích in Bắc Ninh. Zoom in. You will find more hair workshops than you expected, and most of them are households.
The risk is capacity. A household workshop produces 50 to 100kg a month. If your order runs past that, the rest gets made by a workshop down the road. So batch two arrives looking slightly different from batch one, and your salon client is the person who notices.
Our own factory runs over 500kg a month, with a quality check built into every stage of our 6-step production process rather than one inspection at the end.
B2B buyers leave when the second order does not match the first. That is the thing worth protecting, and it is the reason to care who made the hair at all.
How to place a first order without losing money
- Order 2 or 3 grades from the same supplier in one go. One bundle each.
- Hold all of them at once. That is the only way to learn what this particular factory means by its own grade names.
- Check whether that language matches the next factory you talk to. Usually it does not.
- Pay through escrow or a protected method on order one.
- Testing minimum 1 bundle at 100g, or 1 wig, or 1 closure. Samples are sold at the normal price and are not refundable. We do not sell 10g or 20g cut samples, because a 20g cut tells you nothing about tail thickness.
- Payment Alibaba Trade Assurance, PayPal, and Western Union or MoneyGram for Africa. We do not accept T/T bank wire, and I would be careful with any supplier who pushes you toward a direct wire on a first order.
- Lead time Ready-to-ship machine weft leaves Hanoi in 1 to 2 days. Everything else is made at the factory and runs 10 to 12 working days.
Any supplier quoting 7 days on a custom 200-bundle order is either reselling somebody else's stock or about to miss the date.

What to check before you order
- The site shows the workshop with a visible company sign
- A company address appears on the site and matches their marketplace account
- Someone answers the hotline and knows what drawn type means
- They filmed a fresh video of the hair in a hand, this week, on request
- The spec names the drawn type and says something about the condition of the hair
- Payment runs through escrow or a protected method on the first order
- The lead time quoted matches the kind of product you ordered
Clear all 7, order samples. Clear 5, ask about the other 2 before you decide.
Our standard production runs 8 to 32 inches, with 34 and 36 inches on request when stock allows. We have been exporting to 50+ countries since 2011 and we hold a 7-year Alibaba Verified Supplier account. Start with bone straight bundles if you want to see where our pricing sits before you talk to anyone.
Frequently asked questions
Where is the safest place to buy hair extensions online?
A B2B marketplace with escrow protection is the safest place for a first order, because payment is only released once the goods ship and clear inspection. Once a relationship is established most buyers move to ordering directly from the factory website, which removes the marketplace fee. Both are safer than paying an individual seller by direct bank transfer.
How do I know if a hair website is a real factory or a reseller?
Check for a workshop photo with a company sign, a company address that matches their marketplace account, and a hotline that a person answers. Then ask for video of the hair filmed that week. A factory can produce one in minutes. A reseller has to request it from their supplier, and the delay shows.
What does high-quality hair actually mean?
High-quality hair extensions score on two separate things. Drawn type is how much thickness the bundle holds at the tail. Hair condition is whether the strand was chemically damaged before it was cut and whether the cuticle still runs one direction. A high drawn type made from damaged hair still performs badly.
Can a supplier prove the hair is from one donor?
No supplier in this industry can prove single-donor sourcing with a document. There is no certifying body and no test a buyer can run on arrival. The practical alternative is ordering 2 or 3 grades from the same supplier at once and comparing tail thickness in your hand.
How much hair should I order the first time?
Order samples rather than stock. One bundle in each of 2 or 3 grades from the same supplier is enough to learn how that factory defines its own grade names. The testing minimum is usually 1 bundle at 100g, sold at the normal price.
Is it cheaper to buy hair direct from a factory?
Buying direct removes one company from the chain, so the unit price is lower. The trade-off is longer shipping from Asia and a lead time of 10 to 12 working days on anything made to order. Brand stores cost more and ship domestically in days, which is worth paying for on an urgent job.
The short version
Work out which of the four site types you are on before you compare any prices, because a factory price and a brand-store price are not the same number measured the same way. Then run the six checks. Then ask for video of the hair in a hand, filmed this week.
Order 2 or 3 grades from one supplier and hold them side by side. That is the only test in this industry that means anything.
